My Story

Hi! I’m Glenda Lezeau.

It all started when I had a mental breakdown in November 2011 and had to be hospitalized in the psychiatric unit. I was rushed to the hospital because I lost all perception of reality and was having delusions, hallucinations, paranoia and more.

As I was in the psychiatric unit and was starting to get a relief from the symptoms I was experiencing, I had several epiphanies. The two biggest ones were that…

1) it was time to admit that I needed help mentally.

2) I had to learn how to love myself.

Almost ten years later and I drastically worked on both of these epiphanies.

And along that journey, I founded Rising From Bipolar.

What I Do

Writing, Speaking Engagements, Workshops

Everything I do is to empower others towards their optimal well-being. I am an author, mental wellness advocate, and workshop facilitator.

I wrote Letters to My Bipolar Self  (available here) to document my journey and demonstrate to others how self-love can be applied even with mental health challenges or any other challenges. Bipolar sparked my self-love journey.

Self-love has allowed me to deepen my relationship with myself and in turn my intuition has heightened. I have also been able to heal in various ways.

These experiences are why I started my workshop Mentally Rejuvenate for Mental Wellness where I take participants on an experience towards mental wellness by building a relationship with oneself.
